Program Director, Gray Matters Capital

Genia Topple is Program Director of Gray Matters Capital, Inc. operating foundation, in addition to serving as the Executive Director of the Rockdale Foundation. She works closely to coordinate the program activities of GMC with the grantmaking activities of Rockdale to utilize the strengths of both powerful organizations in support of education, both domestically and internationally in developing countries.

Genia joined RF in 2003 as Program Officer for Microfinance. As part of this role, she traveled extensively to the Arab region and lived in Egypt for a year where she helped open and staff the headquarters of Sanabel, a regional association serving the Arab microfinance industry.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Genia was an analyst for a financial services firm, specializing in mergers and acquisitions. In 1998, she received a Fulbright/Garcia Robles grant to spend a year working for DuPont in Mexico City where she participated in a Bi-National Business Program focused on post-NAFTA Mexico.

Genia is a graduate of the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and Furman University. She lives in Decatur with her husband and son.
