Where once foundations and public institutions were primary funders, an increasing number of capital-hungry microfinance institutions has attracted a broad range of private investors.

Much has been accomplished in the graduate and post-graduate arena, and there are strong training and development opportunities for those already active in the sector. A significant education need is recognized in the area of the undergraduate population, however.
