Gray Matters Capital

GMC investigates emerging opportunities in or related to the developing world through our program activities. In many cases, we recognize an area of need that requires deeper exploration, research and development.

We typically look for collaborators to work with us on these initiatives. When our efforts uncover viable opportunities, Gray Matters Capital is quick to identify the most appropriate path toward spinning the initiative off as an independent effort. Sometimes, this involves making our research publicly available for others to execute. In other instances we have worked directly with others to incubate the formation of a new, independent entity that can act on the findings.

Some of our current program activities include:

• Affordable Private Schools
• Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering Projects (HELP)
International Association of Microfinance Investors (IAMFI)
• Oglethorpe Microfinance Seminar
• Microfinance Network ratings products
