Research and Growth Director
Growing up, Debleena had 2 dreams. a) to be a librarian, b) to be an archaeologist. Both still remain dreams, but what really happened is that she started digging for stories and storing them in her imaginary library. She found stories everywhere: in numbers, in words, in music.
For the first fifteen years of career, she followed numerical stories with roles in Strategy, Investment Banking and Analytics at Lazard India Ltd, GE, Fidelity, JP Morgan and Prudential. Since the last few years, she has been part of the startup and impact investment world with BRIDGEi2i Analytics Solutions and Unitus Seed Fund where she got a chance to find and create new stories, specially in the Education sector.
That led her to set up her own storytelling firm, Kahaniyah and be involved deeply in the Education sector. She loves to swim between the highs and lows of numbers and words with a lifeboat of bad jokes to keep her afloat.
Give her a group of children and she can sing stories with them all day, specially stories on history, made fun with mystery.
