Joanna works with Gray Matters Capital helming its ecosystem development initiative to impact 1.5 million children over the next 3 years through partnerships with key stakeholders in the affordable education space.
Prior to joining Gray Matters Capital, she served as the Academic Director of Sunshine Schools, a chain of affordable private schools she had co-founded in 2015.
In 2013, she joined ‘Teach for India’ as a fellow. She taught Grade 3 and Grade 4 in a government school in New Delhi. Alongside the fellowship, she also set up an after school learning center called The Magic Room, where she managed its operations, funding and logistics.
Joanna is an Electronics and Communication engineer from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi.
A professed Calvin and Hobbes junkie, Joanna is an explorer at heart - be it on terra firma or undersea as a scuba diver. She loves to curl herself in fiction novels set in history.
