Lead - Pre-Investment, edLABS
With expertise and experience gained in the education and social enterprise space, Sagar leads the pre-investment vertical of Gray Matters Capital’s edLABS initiative in India.
Sagar’s association with Gray Matters Capital began with IDEX, where he was selected as a Fellow in the 2014 cohort. During his fellowship, he worked with organizations like Accion, Girl Tank, and Voice4girls on various projects.
Post the fellowship, Sagar worked with Wings Learning Centres - an investee of Gray Matters Capital in the pre-school education space, where he headed new initiatives and innovations. His work revolved around liaising with education & pedagogy providers in India and abroad to bring the best innovations into Wings centers.
He has worked on consulting projects with IDEX, Global Action on Poverty, MIT-D labs, and Project Sophia as well as volunteered his time with various social enterprises across sectors and domains.
During his college days, Sagar started “Let’s Stop Sexism” - an initiative to raise awareness about gender equality, gender fluidity, sexual objectification, and media literacy. That was the key trigger which led him to choose social impact as a career path.
Sagar is a blockchain enthusiast and aspires to start an impact focused crypto fund.
