Alifya joins as the Strategic Initiatives Lead and works at the CEO’s office to drive Gender focused Innovations and Ecosystem development to deliver new growth and value to our mission.

Alifya has been a Gender focused development practitioner and an advocate of Social and Economic Equity. She has more than a decade of hands-on experience in designing, leading, and investing in programs focused on Systems Change and Community-led development. In her previous role with a Global Philanthropy, Alifya was responsible for managing a Portfolio focused on Education, Health and Economic Inclusion. In this role, Alifya led and managed Strategic Investments, Grantee Partnerships and designed Global multi-stakeholder Collaboratives.

Alifya was awarded Oxford’s prestigious Mica and Ahmet Ertegun Scholarship for an MSt in Gender and Development in 2017 and was awarded a scholarship from the Harvard Kennedy School for a program in Leadership and Organizing for Social Change in 2022.
